Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and participation in the Detask decentralized freelancing protocol (“Detask”), which operates entirely through smart contracts on the Solana blockchain. By connecting a wallet, creating tasks, submitting proofs, or interacting in any way with Detask’s ecosystem, you agree to these Terms.
1️⃣ Protocol Nature
Decentralized Operation: Detask is not a centralized entity, organization, or service provider. It functions as an open-source protocol governed by immutable smart contracts.
Self-Custody: Users retain full control over their wallet private keys and assets. Detask does not hold custody of funds.
2️⃣ User Responsibilities
Compliance: You are solely responsible for compliance with your local laws regarding digital asset usage, freelancing, taxation, and decentralized finance.
Wallet Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your wallet private keys. Detask is not liable for losses due to compromised wallets or unauthorized access.
Due Diligence: You must review task details, budgets, deadlines, and contract terms before committing funds or submitting proofs. Detask does not mediate disputes.
3️⃣ Protocol Fees
Detask imposes automated protocol fees (e.g., task creation fees) governed by smart contracts.
All fee structures are transparently defined and enforced via code. There are no hidden fees or discretionary adjustments.
4️⃣ Dispute Resolution
Smart Contract Governance: Task disputes, including proof verification or payment releases, are resolved solely by predefined smart contract logic.
No Off-Chain Arbitration: Detask does not offer manual dispute resolution or customer support. Future updates may introduce decentralized arbitration modules.
5️⃣ Risks and Disclaimers
Volatility: Digital assets used in Detask (SOL, USDC, DTSK) are subject to price fluctuations. You bear full responsibility for potential financial losses.
Smart Contract Limitations: Despite audits, Detask’s smart contracts may contain unforeseen bugs or vulnerabilities. Interactions are at your own risk.
Finality: Transactions on Solana are irreversible. Double-check all submissions and transfers before signing.
No Warranties: Detask is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
6️⃣ Intellectual Property
Detask’s codebase is open-source and available under permissive licensing. However, any unauthorized use of Detask’s branding or trademarks (if applicable) is prohibited.
7️⃣ Termination of Access
Users may discontinue using Detask at any time. The protocol does not retain user data or accounts.
Access may be restricted if wallets are associated with illegal activities or protocol misuse, enforced through smart contract-level filtering.
8️⃣ Amendments
Detask’s Terms of Use may evolve via DAO governance proposals and votes. Updates will be enforced by protocol upgrades and publicly announced through Detask’s communication channels.

By interacting with Detask, including connecting a wallet, creating tasks, submitting proofs, or engaging in governance, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Use.
